With the Yelp One Day Wing Fest fast approaching, we decided to team up with the tremendous guy at Yelp and offer some insights and previews of the upcoming event. You can read all the basics of the event here, but we thought to help you on the day we’d try and ‘profile’ as many of the fine wing establishments taking part as we can. Basically, we’ll be breaking down a portion of wings from each place and telling you what to expect. This won’t be a review but more of a profiling of the wings, and it’s a good excuse for us to eat more wings than is technically healthy! We decided to start with the host with the most VANDAL!
Summary: These are a compact wing that have a light coating on crispy skin. The meat is tasty and moderately juicy. There’s a real crispness to the wing and the meat falls apart once the skin is off. They are a dry wing, not covered in sauce. It has a golden coloured crumb like coating.
