The team at LURN wanted to wish you a very happy holidays. We've had a great year here at LURN, and we couldn't have done it without your support and without the partnerships of amazing organizations across Los Angeles (and the State!). Here are some of our highlights from the year:
 

• We took some giant leaps to legalize street vending in Los Angeles. Will 2015 be the year? 
• We launched a purchasing cooperative with our friends at the LA Food Policy Council. Seven stores are currently buying produce together and our hope is to expand it significantly in 2015.
• We hosted a successful conference in San Francisco on "Infrastructure and the New City."
• We launched the Restore Fund, a micro-equity program for businesses in low-income neighborhoods.
• We activated two vacant lots in Los Angeles with the Free Lots Angeles collective, including our recent activation in South LA.
• We grew our team and opened an office in Boyle Heights!
