CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland's Kimpton Schofield is among the best hotels in the Midwest, according to Conde Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards.

The Schofield, which opened in 2016 at the corner of Euclid Avenue and E. 9th Street, is the only Cleveland hotel to earn a spot on the magazine's annual list, determined by a survey of more than 300,000 readers.

No. 1 on the Best in the Midwest list: the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, followed by the JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America, the Conrad Indianapolis, the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee and the 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati.

One caveat about the Midwest list: Chicago hotels were excluded, and make up their own list. (Top in Chicago: the new Virgin Hotels Chicago.)

Every year for the past 30, Conde Nast Traveler has surveyed its readers on everything from the world's best resorts, cruise lines, islands, airports and airlines.

This year's best hotel in the Untied States, by the way, is the Faena Hotel Miami Beach. For a complete list of results: cntraveler.com/rca.
