Tuesday, December 30, 2014, 6:55 PM - A recent report from the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) suggests that the heavy rain and wind that swept through parts of Ontario and Quebec back on November 24 and 25 of this year spurred $90 million in insurance claims.
Wind gusts up to 100 kph snapped tree branches, causing damage to cars and hydro lines.
“Severe weather causes significant damage to Ontario communities far too often,” said Ralph Palumbo, Vice-President, Ontario, IBC, in a statement.
