Outstanding Customer Service

John Hudson always goes out of his way to provide great Customer service. That type of service is rare, indeed.

I wish he worked for Boeing, ECAS Monroe, or McMaster--Carr

50% lower than local vendor

Lower price on hardware (metric lifting eye bolts) than my regular, local vendor. Shipping was reasonable for the heavy items I purchased. I have bookmarked them in my favorites. I will use them as my price comparison site to make sure I'm not over paying on hardware ever again.

Clevis pins were beautifully made

Clevis pins were beautifully made. Accurate to sizes shown in the detailed drawings on the website. Using them for hinge pins inserted into bushings so diameter was critical. The drawings and the pins match so the hinges are precise. Nice and shiny plating. Great price too.

They have a good stock of stainless…

They have a good stock of stainless hardware which was easy to find on their site. Reasonable value. Order came exactly right & quickly. Only odd part of the experience was checking out on their online store it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to pay -- you have to click the little button that says 'add payment method', which was invisible to my rushed brain. I probably shouldn't admit that... Thanks, great store!

Great service and a helpful, fun staff!

The staff at Huyett is always helpful, courteous and a joy to deal with. The stock is always plentiful, and pricing is competitive. Shipping is quick and reliable. Shipments are always accurate. I've never had a bad experience with G.L. Huyett. The outside sales staff is always checking in to see what they can do for us and how they can serve us better. All around, a great company to deal with.

Overall good company

Web site is intuitive and easy to navigate. Orders ship in a timely matter. Tennessee location needs to package better. Last shipment from them came in barely taped and parts were missing. This is the first problem we have had with them in quite awhile.

Good Selection

Had a difficult time finding a long enough screw eye for a hammock. Installation was going into a column that had 6x6 lumber structural member and brick laid around it (column was 18x18). Fortunately, Huyett had a screw eye that worked (8" shank). Worked perfect! Placed the order and delivery was on time.

Consistently good to deal with

They have one of the best ecommerce websites in the fasteners business. It is easy to customize your orders shipment, including drop ship options. When I do need to communicate with their sales staff, they are always friendly and thorough. And of course GL Huyett has a ton of stuff it seems like nobody else has.

Good process until the end

Easy to do business with great selection and fair pricing. Shipping wasn't too bad either. Had trouble getting invoice from site, and did not have one automatically sent to my email either.
I recently received the copy of the invoice from them in an email.
I would definitely use them again, but would recommend a few tweaks like auto sending an invoice upon purchase.

Website needs help

Website needs help. It would not process my order (not the first time). I ended up emailing my rep., Christian, he was all over it and took care of my request.
While on the subject please cut out all peripheral ads and information on the confirmations. I go through 2 cartages of ink to print out the confirmation. Yes exaggeration but still half a page of black ink, come on.

Huyett made improvements to their…

Huyett made improvements to their website and shipping procedures recently - I have to say; Much improved! For example, in the past, shipping a heavy box was cheaper using US Postal service when it should have been cheaper using UPS. Now, my last shipment was UPS, the right price and a much more secure box. They got it right!

And their staff has always been kind and responsive. I just wish they carried more of the products we use because they are great, with very competitive prices.

Must make an account before you can…

Must make an account before you can check out. Only after giving them your information do they inform you it's $50 minimum to check out. Just needed to buy something for 2 bucks and they made it a huge misleading hassle

On August 25th I reached out to Huyett. We were having problems obtaining specific nuts for our R&D Project. Alexandra Melby took care of the situation by providing sample nuts. Also, Alexandra took care of getting our account set up through the accounting department.

Adapter-version of Lincoln

This review is only on a few samples I received. The adapters were fine and passed inspection. I'm currently waiting for the order to be delivered-
They were quick to respond when I requested a quote.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Your ordering system was a real pain in the ass for a retail customer but your employees seem to be very concerned to make every customer feel welcome and they are more than willing to help. Placing an order not so much.
