David Hathiramani is the co-founder of A Suit That Fits, a multi award winning, bespoke tailor that operates a hybrid bricks and clicks model. It all started with a proof of concept market stall in Hampstead back in 2006 – and now they deliver about 10,000 orders every year, and last year raised just under £1 million in Crowdfunding over 90% of which was generated from the customers.

David believes the trick for generating traffic is trying and testing new things – staying ahead of the curve.  He believes there is no one traffic method but it is about innovating across all of your channels and seeing and doing things before the competition.

David accepts that there are some great tools out there, but believes that sometimes the tech can actually get in the way.  He believes that sometimes things could be done a lot quicker and easier by getting the relevant parties in and having a well organised meeting.

David recommends that if you’re thinking of starting a new business stop dithering and do it, because you are not going to be able to tell if it will work until you actually do it.  He suggests once you are up and running and you’ve got traction remember that in the future it is going to be old new’s so keep innovating.
