Study Day 3 - Friday 6th February - Okehampton

Study Day 4 - Thursday 5th March - Dartington Hall, Totnes

*ALS sessions are small group activities. Venues will be chosen to reflect participant locations.
PROGRAMME SUMMARY
Early stage social enterprises, Community Interest Companies and ethical businesses often rely on subsidies and a lot of good will, with many facing the loss of public sector funding for their work.

In light of this, and following the huge success of the North Devon Social Entrepreneurs programme that ran earlier this year, the School for Social Entrepreneurs has developed a tailor made programme for the leaders and key-change makers of established third sector organisations and social enterprises in Devon.
PROGRAMME HEADLINES
  • 3 Month Action Learning Programme (10 contact days)
  • Starts January 2015 - March 2015
  • FREE places are available to applicants from DEVON
  • Sessions will take place at locations around Devon
  • Maximum of 20 places available

PROGRAMME AIMS
The Rural Devon Social Entrepreneurs Programme will help you to:
  • Access new markets and customers
  • Develop new income streams
  • Increase your impact, services and products
  • And become more sustainable.
WHAT ARE THE PROGRAMME ELEMENTS? 
The programme will take place over a 3 month period. The ten day programme will specifically consist of the following:
  • 6 x intensive day-long study day sessions
  • 3 x Day long Action learning sets
  • 1 x Progression event
WHAT WILL THE PROGRAMME COVER?
Each study day session will be themed around specific aspects of social entrepreneurship with particular learning goals. These include:
  • An introduction to the current context in which rural Devon organisations operate
  • Managing the business; Getting the numbers right and developing an organisational culture and brand
  • Pathways to Growth: Scaling up, diversification, expansion and replication.
WHO IS THE PROGRAMME FOR?
This programme is designed for the leaders and key-change makers of established third sector organisations and social enterprises in Devon. Graduates from the programme will have a clear sense of opportunity, direction and strategy for their enterprise; have an understanding of markets, customers and impacts and appropriate pathways to growth.
