This is done by creating a social media setting where they can make a personal profit to improve their standard of living and learn the skills they need to succeed financially. The hope is that this will allow people who are not currently being given opportunities to get ahead where they live can find the opportunities they need online.

Even if you are not living in a third world country, people still feel as though they are not getting the level of influence they like over their political representatives.

In the United States, for example, most politicians receive campaign contributions they need to get into office from corporations more so than the people they represent. This means that once politicians are elected they will work to please the corporations who support them so they can continue to maintain their position, leaving the average person without much of a voice in how their country is run.

But what if the people could control the corporations more effectively?

Empowr allows their users to elect the president of their company to make sure that the company is managing their affairs the way the customers would like. If other corporations could be convinced to take on the same model, people could elect CEOs that would convince politicians to follow their interests.

Many people complain that corporations only convince politicians to pass bills that will help them to make more profits. This limits the amount of attention politicians are giving to issues that the average person finds important. This also limits the amount of help that the government can offer to people in need.
