Lisa Regan takes you on a wild ride with Book 12 of the Josie Quinn series. Josie is still grieving but heading back to work . (Warning if you are grieving like I am, its a tough read but I learned a few things that will help me so don't miss out) After a fatal and tragic bus crash involving children a few years ago, suddenly some of the parents are being found murdered. There are so many secrets, so many lies . I could not figure out who the culprit was. The lights stayed on to finish the book, I love the team that goes in hand in hand with Josie and cant wait for the next book in the series. First in line, that will be me. Lisa Regan you outdid yourself with Her Deadly Touch.

Her Deadly Touch by Lisa Regan Detective Josie Quinn #12 Grief’s impact is not the same for everyone. This story deals with a number of people experiencing grief and how they are coping…or perhaps are not coping so very well…and one who has decided to kill rather than process through emotions in the normal way. Included in those grieving is Josie and four months has not chipped the ice away as she begins to work again. What I liked: * Josie: smart, complex, backstory told in previous books sounded horrific, twin, newlywed, first husband dead, detective, intriguing * Noah: Josie’s husband, police lieutenant, has suffered loss, loves and understands Josie, is there for Josie and the team, perfect for Josie. * Trout: dog of Josie and Noah – a good boy * The various members of the police team, getting to see them again, and watching them solve this case together. They are there for Josie and for one another. * The police procedural aspects of the story * The premise for the story – though sad – and how it played out * The writing * How the story was paced, and tidbits eked out * The secrets that came out – not nice but pertinent to the story * That the serial killer was eventually found and taken in * The new chief…may be growing on me * How Josie, toward the end, began to work through the loss of her grandmother * Knowing there is another book to look forward to What I didn’t like: * Who and what I was meant not to like * The loss of the lives of innocent children * The warped thinking and actions of the killer Did I enjoy this book? A big thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this for my honest opinion. If you have not read the Josie Quinn books by Lisa Regan, friend, you are missing out. I am a lover of crime mystery and this is the 12th Josie Quinn book I have read and Lisa Regan still makes my crime loving heart so happy with another page turner! Josie is still recovering from a devastating loss. Her grief is still overwhelming to her and now she is returning back to work, with her heart not quite ready yet. But, murder awaits for no person. As Josie is trying to come to some terms with her grief, she stumbles upon a murder victim that has been found by another grieving mother. This throws Josie right back into her job even though she is not fully ready. Gretchen, Noah, Mettner and even the chief all help Josie deal with her grief and left her up to help her do her job. This book has twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages to uncover the secrets and find the killer as well as deal with her personal loss. Amazing writing. Amazing story. Josie Quinn is as good in book 12 as she was in book 1..
