FVTC hosts small business training, Fab Lab sessions

APPLETON - Business and Industry Services at FVTC will host an Explore the Fab Lab session 4-5:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the college’s D.J. Bordini Center, 5 Systems Drive, north entrance.

The free event is open to business professionals, students, teachers and aspiring inventors who desire knowledge in 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, and other computer-controlled machines used in industry as well as in homes. Fab Lab resources are available to the community for a broad range of activities ranging from craft projects, guitar building, 3D printing, and early stage prototyping. The Venture Center at Fox Valley Technical College will host a free Explore Starting a Small Business session 6-9 p.m. Oct. 4 in room A170 inside entrance 16 at the Appleton campus.

The session explores what it takes to launch a small business and examines topics like determining a feasible idea, business model assessment, and developing a plan. Information on technical and financial resources will also be shared. Registration is required by visiting www.fvtc.edu/SmallBiz.
