BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - Daylon Charlot has been committed to Alabama for 10 months, but the 4-star receiver from Patterson, La., is "definitely undecided" now, according to Patterson coach Chad Blanchard.

"He's being pulled in a lot of different directions," Blanchard said. "It can be pretty tough on (kids), especially a small-town kid who wants to get into college and get himself some pretty good opportunities."

Charlot officially visited LSU last weekend, and the Tigers have put the pressure on the star receiver to change his pledge. Since then, the story has gone several different directions.

Charlot told NOLA.com on Sunday that he was planning to decommit from Alabama. He told BamaOnline Monday that he was still solid to Alabama. He told Scout.com on Tuesday that he was no longer committed to Alabama, but could still end up there.

Blanchard was asked if he believed Charlot was officially on the market or still committed to Alabama.

"I can't say that either way, I really cant," Blanchard said. "It's not my position to say. He wants to experience the whole thing, the whole recruiting situation, but at the same time he doesn't want it to get overblown and out of proportion."

Charlot was visited on Tuesday by Alabama assistant Burton Burns. Blanchard said Charlot plans on taking an official to Alabama in January, but wasn't sure when. He didn't know if Charlot had other visits planned.

"It's new to him," Blanchard said. "He's going to make the decision that he thinks is best for him. As of right now, he legitimately is not sure where he wants to go. He's not playing games with anybody, I can assure you of that.

"He's going to take his time. He's going to meet with his family. He's going to talk with his coaches. He's going make the decision that is the best decision for him."

Charlot is playing in the Under Armour game in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Jan. 2, but Blanchard said he understands Charlot will make his final decision on National Signing Day.
