It’s that time of year again: Curbed Boston’s annual contest to pick the region’s No. 1 neighborhood. Yes, the 2017 Curbed Cup is almost here!

Voting will start shortly. In the meantime, we want your help in building a bracket of 16 contenders.

Past Curbed Cup winners have included Dorchester, South Boston, and Assembly Row.

Who deserves to win this year?

A few things to consider:

  • Which neighborhoods have seen the most change, including through construction and streetscape alterations?
  • Which ones have figured prominently in the meta-stories of 2017, such as debates over development and the direction of the region?
  • Which are just plain cooler/more interesting now than on Jan. 1, 2017?
  • Is Amazon considering them for its headquarters? Just kidding. Kind of.

Nominate neighborhoods in the comments section below or through Facebook or Twitter.

We will also handle with the utmost discretion emailed nominations through boston@curbed.com.

Let the debate begin!
