Established in 1971, the Waldorf School of Baltimore is a private, independent day school for children from nursery age through 8th grade. Their mission is to educate and inspire children to think, feel, and act with depth, imagination, and purpose. Waldorf education believes every child is an enthusiastic and engaged learner. The school takes an unhurried approach to early childhood, using the power of imaginative play, and practical and artistic activities for school readiness.
The Waldorf School of Baltimore is participating in a worldwide postcard exchange to celebrate Waldorf Education’s centennial. Students in Waldorf schools around the world will send each school a postcard. The project is designed to connect hundreds of thousands of students to one another and to broaden their global perspective. Each postcard offers a unique snapshot, with students showcasing his or her school, community, city, country, or self.
