December Monthly Meeting
When: 12/17/2014
Where:
CPCC Harris Conference Center, 3216 Cpcc Harris Campus Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208
As donors become increasing focused on outcomes and assessments, and programming staff looks to development to increase funding for new programs, the delicate relationship between the aims of these two departments is more vital and success-defining than ever.
And yet, in more than one area nonprofit organization, refrains of "can't we all just get along?" can be heard following full-staff meetings. How can organizations encourage open communication and shared decision-making that leads to a more positive organizational culture?
AFP Charlotte's four-part programmatic series with the theme of Philanthropy for the Whole Organization concludes on December 17 with a session focused on the sometimes difficult relationship between Programming and Development staff.
Presenters will include representatives from Thompson, Community School of the Arts, and Humane Society of Charlotte, who will discuss unique ways they have developed strong, healthy relationships between these two departments, and ways to ensure that everyone stays on the same page.
This session is ideal for pairs of development and programming staff members - so please consider bringing a guest to participate. A Q&A session will follow the presentations.
(Registration closes on 12/15/2014)
