DinosAlive is a time machine that will transport you back millions of years. Unveiled at the Red Shed at the V&A Waterfront in December, the exhibition featured 9 animatronic dinosaurs and ran until February.
2015 Exhibitions
Going forward, as many as 25 dinosaurs will be touring Southern Africa this year.
- From April 11 to May 17, 2015, T-Rex and friends will be residing at Pretoria’s Tshwane Events Centre. Doors open at 9am and closes at 7pm. Last entries permitted at 5pm every day.
- After their Gauteng stay they’ll migrate to other parts of South Africa, like Bloemfontein at the Bloemfontein Show Grounds between 26 June and 26 July, 2015.
- Stay tuned for information on where and when these Dinos will nest next.
The DinosAlive exhibition is comprised of familiar faces like the Tyrannosaurs Rex and Triceratops. If you’re a dinosaur lover, you’ll be able to spot more obscure names like the Spinosaurus and Ankylosaurus on show too. No visitor to DinosAlive will be able to miss the sky-scraping Brachiosaurus though, a gigantic dinosaur recreated in all its glory at the exhibition.
These realistic dinosaurs will make you feel like you have gone back in time thanks to their lifelike movements and textures, and the sounds they make too!
