Supporters rubbish declaration to oust Nyatike MP

Supporters of Nyatike MP, Edick Omondi Anyanga, have rubbished a declaration made by elders from the region aimed at pushing for election of Fredrick Ogenga as the area MP in 2017.

The supporters have termed the ‘Bande declaration’ as inconsequential saying the elders’ decision did not reflect the will of the people.

Led by former councilor, John Sanuko, the supporters said that they are not aware of the endorsement saying that the community was not consulted.

His sentiments were echoed by Otuoma Osako who maintained that they will support Anyanga for another term come 2017.

They want any political alignment in Nyatike to be inclusive by consulting all clans.

Speaking to Radio Ramogi on Saturday,  the Kakoth Elders said they will have a meeting with all clans in Nyatike to seek for their support.

This political pronouncement by the elders is said to have raised the political temperature since Kakoth clan is the largest in Nyatike constituency and has in the past been influential in determining who wins the seat.
