We Invite You To Join Us For a Feast

to end all feasts in celebration of our treasured friends and creators of A Moveable Feast the iconic Houston restaurant and health food store that started a food revolution in 1971. It is our pleasure to honor Suzanne and John Fain at this year's Delicious Alchemy Banquet, which raises critical funds to support the work of Recipe for Success Foundation.

We have long celebrated gathering around a beautiful table for a meal among friends, the hallmark of our Delicious Alchemy Banquet, which is limited to just 80 guests.  Last year we recreated our elegant annual Banquet at Hope Farms because we had to.  But it was so wonderful, we all decided it will always be there.  As Houston’s balmy spring weather returns, there is no better place to congregate than our bucolic Hope Farms in the heart of the city.

With special joy, we will use the occasion to toast the extraordinary Suzanne and John Fain, visionaries who led the trend toward healthier eating and organic foods long before it was mainstreamed anywhere.  They have been mentors and steadfast  supporters of Recipe for Success Foundation since we hatched the idea for it nearly 20 years ago. 

We will gather on Monday, May 2 for our spectacular Delicious Alchemy Banquet featuring ten exquisite courses celebrating Houston's rich culinary diversity, crafted by ten extraordinary chefs, in a glorious pastoral setting—or as the Chronicle says, “the ultimate dinner party.” We hope you will be there.

During the last two years we have resiliently adapted to the changing landscape to keep our powerful programs to teach, empower and inspire healthy eating operating. Forced by quarantine to suspend Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Education™ in schools across the country, we reinterpreted its award-winning content to build eatitfoodadventures.org, a new online platform designed just for kids. And we began hosting both kids and teachers at Hope Farms.  Buoyed by cook-at-home trends, our VegOut! 30 Ways in 30 Days Challenge continues to gamify healthy eating for thousands of families around the world.  And we continued growing healthy, affordable produce and teaching military veterans and others to become successful urban farmers on our 7-acre Hope Farms in the middle of Houston. We also partnered with generous donors to Deliver Hope and free bags of healthy Hope Farms produce to our most needy neighbors with children.

Proceeds from this dinner raise over 20% of our operating budget to accomplish all I have described and more, whichmeans that your purchase of tickets or your gift is critical to our continued work to teach, empower and inspire healthy eating.
