Looking for the first "Star Wars 7" trailer? Found it you have, hmmm.

The Dark Side is here on Black Friday in the first trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

"Star Wars 7" footage shows the Millenium Falcon, T.I.E. fighters, X-Wings, a new droid, and a Sith Lord with a lightsaber glowing red in three directions. No familiar faces from the original "Star Wars" trilogy pop up in the short clip, though John Boyega gets a close-up as an apparent Stormtrooper stranded in the desert. Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac also appear.

Director J.J. Abrams previously said a "tiny peek at what we're working on" would be released Friday in select theaters, but iTunes later announced that the 88-second preview would also be available online. Some "Star Wars" fans suggested the simultaneous release would prevent low-quality bootlegged video clips appearing on YouTube or other sites.

The long-awaited sequel, set some 30 years after "Return of the Jedi," will feature returning stars Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), plus new cast additions like Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie. Syracuse native Tom Cruise, "Star Trek Into Darkness" actor Benedict Cumberbatch and Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd are also rumored to have roles.

However, the trailer doesn't reveal much about the newcomers' roles. Even Boyega might not really be a part of the evil Empire, as Skywalker once stole an outfit and appeared "a little short for a Stormtrooper."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will open in theaters nationwide Dec. 18, 2015.

After that, "Looper" writer-director Rian Johnson is expected to take over "Episode VIII" (and maybe "Episode IX") from Abrams. Also, directors Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla") and Josh Trank ("Chronicle") have officially signed on for upcoming spinoff/standalone movies.
