African Union: ICRC president calls for unhindered access for humanitarian workers

Briefing the Peace and Security Council of the African Union during his visit to Ethiopia from 29-31 October, Peter Maurer, president of the ICRC, emphasized the importance of political support for unhindered access, respect for international humanitarian law and the security of humanitarian workers. He also commended the long-standing cooperation between the two organizations.
