A 51-year-old woman was evacuated by helicopter after she slipped and broke her leg while hiking in the Tabor Mountain area on Sunday afternoon. Called to the scene at 12:45 p.m.

A 51-year-old woman was evacuated by helicopter after she slipped and broke her leg while hiking in the Tabor Mountain area on Sunday afternoon.

Called to the scene at 12:45 p.m., Prince George Search and Rescue responded with an all-terrain vehicle team, a command vehicle and 22 searchers.

They reached the woman and called in a helicopter from Pacific Western Helicopters to fly her out, PGSAR said in a press release.
