HIS DECEMBER BLONDE: FLAVOR OF THE MONTH BOOK ONE Kindle Edition

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 37 ratings

Rich. Desirable. Fickle.

Lucas Flynn didn’t know the meaning of commitment. He was too busy running the billion dollar business he’d built. Relationships took time he didn’t have. But he did like women, so he dated a new one every month. And he liked variety so he rotated them by hair color – brunette, redhead, blonde. The tabloids called them Lucas's Flavor of the Month. Some of the women even preened when they saw themselves labelled that way.

This December, he’d date a blonde and he had the most delectable honey blonde working for him. He’d lusted after her since he met her on a plane and hired her as his temporary personal assistant. Well, his regular assistant would be back January 2nd, so what better time to enjoy Rachel’s charms than over Christmas at his new house in Rio?

Only problem was, Lucas didn’t want to send her packing on December 31st. Maybe he could bend his rule a little and see Rachel for January as well? After all, she wouldn’t be his personal assistant any more, would she?

But Rachel had no illusions about the handsome billionaire. She would enjoy a December fling and then move on. She didn’t take Lucas’s lingering interest in her seriously. She knew he was fickle. She was the one to move on, the first of his women ever to move on herself.

Would Lucas try to win her back and build a life with her? A life that included marriage and a family?

Rachel didn’t think so...

I am British, and live in Canada, just south of Vancouver. I think I was about eleven or twelve when I started to write -- I thought I was destined to be a best selling author as I penned my Perry Mason type mysteries (I hadn't discovered boys in those days!). Other interests, travel and life in general intervened, and it was many years later that I sat down and started to write again. The results are now available on Amazon, both on Kindle and in Print, and I'm still hopeful of becoming a best selling author.

My hobbies are quilting and cruising. I've lived in Australia and travelled extensively throughout many parts of the world. Any resemblance to me and the heroine of Francesca's Voyage is purely coincidental. Or is it? My sister isn't so sure...after all, the picture of my lucky slot machine on the Sapphire Princess is remarkably similar to one that's so luck for Francesca in Francesca's Voyage, isn't it? So she's asking me, what else happened on my cruise across the Pacific?

I totally loved this extremely well written story about a very focused woman who knows her place in the world and acts on it. Lots of great sex, fabulous locations and great descriptive writing enhances this love story. Recommended

It is a good story. A little on the sugary sweet side with an HEA. The way capitalization was used was rather distracting, though.

I loved this little twist on the typical billionaire story. Rachel keeps herself believing that she is just the December blonde, but Lucas has other plans. You should read this, it's great

This author's writing needs a content editor. She especially needs help with dialogue. The story make me grit my teeth. A boss who has a new girlfriend based on haircolor every month was ludricrous. A PA who was hired because he was lining her up for the December slot. Meh! This was just such a stupid story. I couldn't like any of the characters.

Great read that was a delightful escape into a romantic book that had minimal drama and a smooth ride to happy ever after. I love a good reformed rake story! Well done!

... until he changed the rules. If only she'd trust him on that...

Yes the book was free, and it's summer, and it had a cutesy premise. Unfortunately I have not read such poor dialogue in quite awhile. It was ridiculously trite, stilted, and even switched pov midstream in places. I finished it simply because I was curious to see if it would improve or not. Sadly, I lost those 2. or so hours and cannot get them back.

May get less star ratings from most of you, but I enjoyed this HEA with no cliffhanger. Calgon, take me away!
