Long Beach, CA | July 6, 2017 – Novus Mindful Life Institute Counseling and Recovery Center, a recognized leader in the field of trauma therapy, counseling for stress and anxiety, and sex addiction treatment, welcomes Dr. Kristen Parker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, to our counseling treatment team.
Kristen Parker is a compassionate and expert psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience helping clients in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Long Beach. She helps clients create positive and lasting change in their lives using evidence-based therapies as well as psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches.
Kristen Parker LCSW served as the Program Director for over 17 years with the National Treatment Center at Del Amo Hospital in Torrance, California. This provided the foundation for her work with PTSD, Dissociative Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Military Trauma, Eating Disorders, and Sexual Addiction. She has worked with many of the great leaders, such as Dr. John Sealy as well as Patrick Carnes, in the field of sex addiction. She has over 20 years of experience providing sex addiction counseling and pornography addiction counseling.
Kristen Parker stated, “I genuinely believe that every person is interesting and complex. I tailor my sessions to bring out each client’s own unique story, and I look at the relationship between therapist and client as co-collaborators and problem solvers. I believe providing this care is a privilege and an honor. I’m excited to be part of the Novus treatment team.”
