Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2014: all the best deals in one place

With another Black Friday behind us, the best way for you to save on anything tech-related is with the Cyber Monday deals that are blanketing the internet today. We've followed all the best deals for weeks now, but now we're focused on the last gasp of holiday savings with this collection below.

If all the recent phone releases have made it hard to choose your upgrade, now's the time to pick one. T-Mobile is selling the 64GB version of what we think is the best phone you can buy right now — the iPhone 6 — off-contract for $649. Not a fan of Apple? The best iPhone competitor around is the newest version of the Moto X, and Motorola is selling it today for $150 off. For those looking to upgrade their desktop setup, Microsoft cut the price of Dell's 28-inch 4K display nearly in half.

If you're looking to get your hands on Android Wear for as cheap as possible, we might have a deal for you. Best Buy is selling the LG G Watch, one of the very first Android Wear devices, for $79 as part of its Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions. That's even better than Google's sale on the watch, and it's $150 off the device's list price. Now, we don't recommend the G Watch — it's already been superseded by a newer model and it's been left in the dust by the competition — but it'd definitely be a bargain-basement price. It looks like it's sold out online, but you might be able to find it at a local Best Buy near you.

Update: Best Buy is also offering a $50 Google Play credit with purchase, which makes this an incredible deal.

If you've been looking to buy just about any Square Enix game ever made, chances are right now might be a really good time to buy. The developer is running a massive Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale through its (admittedly outdated) online store. Over 200 games and DLC packs — available as PC downloads and hard copies for everything from next-generation consoles to the PS2, Xbox 360, and PSP — are included in the sale. Most notably, a huge selection of Final Fantasy titles are included in the sale, as are Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dead Island, Thief, and more.

Beginning now and running through midnight on Monday, Google is throwing two deals into the three-ring circus of Black Friday (and Cyber Monday). Both are angled toward getting you to buy an Android Wear smartwatch. One of the original Android Wear devices, the LG G Watch, will be on sale for just $99. That's $130 off the list price and cheaper than you're likely to find it at most other places. It's a super good deal on a super nondescript watch, which, at the venerable age of five months, has already been surpassed by other Android Wear smartwatches.

Whether your get the G Watch or another Android Wear smartwatch from the Google Play Store, you'll also get another bonus: a $50 credit for buying apps, books, movies, magazine, or music. That brings the effective price of the G Watch down to $49 if you're buying it for yourself.

Apple has activated its Black Friday deals in the United States. Buy an iPod, an iPad, Apple TV, a Mac, or selected Beats headphones from the company's online store, and you'll also receive a special edition Product RED iTunes gift card worth between $25 and $100.

Purchasing an iPod touch, iPod nano, Apple TV, or a pair of qualifying Beats by Dre headphones will get you a $25 voucher. An iPad will earn you a $50 card, while buying any Mac will ensure you receive $100 in iTunes credit. The promotion comes in the midst of a two-week campaign run by Apple over Thanksgiving to generate donations for Project RED. For every gift card distributed today, the company says it will donate a percentage to the global fund to fight AIDS.

As to be expected, this year there are lots of deals to be had on TVs small and large, 1080p to 4K. You can also get a great price on last year's iPads, which are still better tablets than pretty much anything save for this year's iPads. If you're in the market for a smartwatch or fitness tracker, you can save some money on some really great options this weekend. And if you want to pick up a laptop or new headphones, there are deals to be found too.

Keep in mind that the best deals won't last long and many of them are limited to Friday itself (or in rare occasions, Thursday too). To win the Black Friday game, you have to be aggressive and quick, there's no time to sleep when deals are to be had. That said, here are the 20 best Black Friday deals this year. Warm up your credit cards and get a good night's sleep, it's time to make the consumer machine work.

Steam is getting in on the Black Friday fun with a huge collection of great deals dubbed the "Steam Exploration Sale." It includes a pretty massive selection of games — Valve says there are "thousands of titles" on sale — and features some big-name new releases for cheap. You can grab Watch Dogs for only $29.99, for example, or Civilization: Beyond Earth for $34.99. Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami's new game, The Evil Within, might just be the best deal, at only $22.60. And if you have just a few bucks, there are some great deals at the lower end as well, including Goat MMO Simulator for $5.49 and Battleblock Theater for $1.69. Valve says new deals will be added daily, so be sure to check back regularly — the sale lasts from now until December 2nd.

If you've been fancying a new Moto X, but haven't yet committed to the purchase, you might want to wait a few more days: Motorola announced that it will be selling the unlocked second-generation Moto X for $140 off this coming Monday as part of its Cyber Monday promotion. That brings the price down to $359 for a 16GB model (or $409 for the 32GB version) without a contract. It's one of the best deals on one of the best Android phones you can buy today.

If you're a Verizon customer, Motorola is also offering the new Moto X for $0.01 with a new contract, a savings of $99.98 off its regular price. To sweeten the deal even further, Motorola is taking 30 percent off the prices of any accessories you buy with the new Moto X on Monday.

Electronic Arts is celebrating Black Friday early, offering some of its best PC games for cheap through its Origin digital store. You can grab select titles for as much as 75 percent off, and there's a pretty sizeable selection of titles to choose from, including relatively new releases like Titanfall, Need for Speed: Rivals, and The Sims 4. But if you really want a great deal, you can snag classics like Mirror's Edge and Dead Space for $4.99, or Bejeweled 3 and Alpha Centauri for just $2.49 each. Check out Origin for the complete list.

HTC's first foray-dedicated action camera, the Re Camera, may not be worth the $199 the company normally asks for it. But starting at midnight Eastern this Friday (9PM PT, Thursday) and running through next Monday, you can pick up the Re Camera for $99, or half of the regular price. That's less than competing options from GoPro and others, and if you've been wanting to check out the Re Camera without spending a ton of money, here's your best opportunity yet. HTC says the deal will be available through its own site as well as Best Buy, Verizon, and AT&T until 12:00 AM ET next Tuesday (9PM PT, Monday) or until supplies run out.

Fans of more literary pursuits won't be left in the cold this Black Friday. Those looking to inflate their digital stash of comic books may be pleased to learn that two major publishers will be offering major discounts for some of their most acclaimed works.

The publishing outfit will be celebrating Black Friday with the release of six MegaBundles. Priced at $99.99 each, the collections include:

Office Depot kicks off its Black Friday sales on Thursday, November 27th with deals on Dell and Toshiba computers, and a ton of Android tablets. The big attraction on Black Friday proper is a Toshiba laptop that's $120 off its normal price. More of the deals arrive on Thursday, including up to $300 off a Dell Inspiron notebook, up to $100 off some Samsung Galaxy Tab models, and a handy 20 percent off $50 worth of iTunes gift cards.

Walmart has already announced its Black Friday deals, but now it's following them up with more blowouts for Cyber Monday. As expected, the best deals can be found on TVs, though Walmart says it has over 500 deals for the week starting on Saturday, November 29th — more than twice as many as last year. The best deals will hit on December 1st, however, so be careful when shopping at work so your boss doesn't notice. Staples will be kicking off its Black Friday sales this Sunday, November 23rd and running the deals through Black Friday itself. The big box office supplier will give shoppers 20 percent off of anything they can fit in a Staples bag on Sunday through Tuesday, and 25 percent off of a single in-store item on Wednesday the 26th.

Are you ready for some more Black Friday deals? You better be. The Microsoft Store has announced its selection of offerings for the biggest shopping day of the year, and surprise, surprise, it includes lots of Xbox gear. There are a handful of Xbox One bundles including Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Assassin's Creed: Unity. There's also a number of good games like Shadow of Mordor, Diablo III, Forza Horizon 2, and Tomb Raider are on sale as well.

Amazon always goes big for Black Friday, and this year is no different. In fact, the shopping giant is going so big that it's starting its Black Friday sales tomorrow, a full week before Black Friday actually arrives. The sales will run for eight days straight, with new deals coming as often as every ten minutes. Amazon says it will run three of its Deals of the Day on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

In addtion to the Black Friday blowout, Amazon will be running a full week of Cyber Monday deals starting on December 1st. As expected, many of the deals include blowout prices on TVs (including a 4K Samsung for $899), laptops, smartphones, fitness trackers, and more. Samsung's taking a fairly unique approach to its Black Friday sale: pre-order a device now, skip the lines, and your credit or debit card won't be charged on November 24th. The company is offering a slew of products that range from TVs and tablets to wearables and even SSD hard drives. Samsung says most orders placed before November 22nd should arrive in time for the holidays. But again, these prices won't be changing or getting any lower — at least if you're buying from Samsung — so there's little point in waiting. We've collected some of the best deals below. Like the other big retail outfits, Walmart will be participating in the consumeristic orgy of Black Friday. Instead of restricting their bargain bonanza to a single day, Walmart will be hosting a five-day sale beginning Thanksgiving morning and ending on Cyber Monday, which falls on December 1st.

Walmart will also be reintroducing what it calls its 1-Hour Guarantee. On November 27th, customers who buy selected items between 6pm and 7pm will be able to either leave with it the same day, or receive their purchase before Christmas. The 1-Hour Guarantee is applicable for these products:

America's annual holiday shopping frenzy Black Friday is still more than two weeks away, but big retailers are already trotting out their lists of discounts and deals. Target, for one, claims that this year's Black Friday will be its "biggest" and "most digital" ever (perhaps trying to make up for its earlier massive credit card hack). It's certainly starting early and will have lots of gift card rebates, according to its Black Friday preview ad. Target will offer some pre-sale Black Friday discounts in stores and online starting Wednesday, November 26th, but you need to check Target's weekly ad here on Sunday, November 23rd to find out what specific details will be offered at your local store. Target stores will open on at 6 PM local time on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th, in most places except Massachusetts. For last-minute shoppers, Target will be open from 7 AM to 9 or 10 PM local time on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th.

From Sunday, November 23rd, through Saturday, November 29th, Target will offer exclusive discounts through its free shopping app Cartwheel (Android and iOS). Those deals include 50 percent off a different toy every day, 60 percent off select movie titles, and discounts on bakeware and board games.
