Denise dishes out the Green Thing at the Endzone

Favorite Drink to make: "That's a really broad question! The Green Tea Shot: Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey, peach schnapps, Sour mix, Sprite."

What’s the most sold drink in the bar? "Hunch Punch (mixed drink). Or the NIVOL Donkey D (local amber beer)."

When someone says “surprise me,” what’s your go-to drink? "I ask them if they like sweet or tart drinks and what kind of liquor they prefer."

Have you created your own concoction? "The Green Thing." (SEE RECIPE)

What is the strangest drink a customer has ever ordered? "Last night I actually had someone order Grand Marnier with sugar-free Redbull as a drink. I asked him three times to make sure that's what he wanted."

When do you know when a customer has had too much? "I look at their eyes, how they walk, slurred speech, how they attempt to order their drink. It's a bit different when they try to attempt to order when wasted."

What do you think makes this bar special? "The customers and the bartenders. We all feed off each other. We have such a good clientele over here and it's all become family. It's the same thing at the other bar. It's 'Cheers.' So you'll have your nights where people will karaoke their face off or that just want to chill, dance and have a good time. We have so much to offer and the different dynamics in bartenders. I work with a biker on Friday and a redneck on Saturday. It's so much fun. We're a sports bar. We have events and benefits. We have open mic nights on Tuesdays. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights."

What activities do you enjoy outside the bar? "I like to go to the beach and bike riding. I enjoy happy hour. I also like to relax at home, watch Food Network and crochet." 

What is your personal drink of choice? "Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey or red wine ... specifically Meiomi Pinot Noir."

DRINK SPECIALS? "We have $1 Bud Light and Miller Light drafts and $4 pitchers of beer during certain sporting events. $1 Hunch Punch shots available all the time. We have a D.E.W. and Brew special if you buy a beer, you get a shot of Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey shot for $3."

HOW DOES IT TASTE? "Like liquid candy, but not too overly sweet. Imagine taking the sugar sticks out of the Fun Dip packages and mixing it with a Jolly Rancher. That's what it reminds me of. Very mild to no alcohol taste." — Kristy Lynne Smith
