Assumption High School holds ‘Scholar Fest’

AssumptionLogo2015-fAssumption High School held its 6th annual Scholar Fest Sept. 15 at the humana Foundation Performing and Fine Arts Center on the school’s campus.

Eight seniors presented their findings from five semesters of independent research in the school’s McAuley Scholars Program.

The students worked with faculty advisors and community mentors since sophomore year on individual research topics, said a statement from the school. In addition to the presentation, each student published a high school thesis.

The students are: Caitlin Hogue, Erin Spencer, Maria Nash, Sarah Daus, Natalie Claypool, Melanie Duckworth, Correna Tate and Bella Beilman.
Since 2012, 49 students have completed the program.
