Dublin recently welcomed the UIA Conference to Dublin
ITOA and AIPCO worked with both Failte Ireland and Tourism Ireland on  a steering committee formed to assist in the organising of  the Annual Meeting of the UIA in Dublin from the 12th-14th of November 2014.  The UIA is the Union of International Associations. They are the organisation for all Association Conferences and as such the Tourism agencies were presented with the opportunity to host the Association's annual meeting in Dublin.  On the 13th of November Wallace Travel Group were delighted to take part in the fun element of the conference programme and we got to partake in a treasure hunt around Dublin's fair city and compete to win. Wallace Travel Group are thrilled that our team won! Please see the image below of the team with James Joyce.

We look forward to welcoming the associations back to Ireland for their future events!
Ireland and the
Home of the Dublin Web Summit
Dublin was delighted to Host the Dublin Web Summit earlier this month! Organizers hosted over 500 speakers and showed the world's most exciting startups in technology along with having leading investors and innovators present. In just five years the event has grown from having just 400 attendees to being the largest tech conference of its kind in Europe. Now nicknamed "Davos for geeks," this year we saw speakers from Google, Amazon, Cisco, Twitter and Apple, among others, as well as celebrity faces such as U2 frontman Bono, pro-skateboarder Tony Hawk and actress Eva Longoria.

The global event was a huge success welcoming over 20,000 people to Dublin and was worth €102 million to the Irish economy!
