"One of the simplest ways to save mothers and children is through breastfeeding," Mrs. Toyin Saraki, Founder-President of the Nigerian-based the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, told a Global Breastfeeding Initiative Workshop sponsored by McCann Health in New York. Mrs. Saraki was recognised for global advocacy in the advancement of maternal, newborn and child health at the Medical Marketing & Media Awards, also in New York. Reflecting on her experiences during the opening week of this year United Nations General Assembly, she said: "Our biggest takeaway was the power of learning from one another and establishing new partnerships that could truly change the world."
