Chesapeake Connections: Training for Impactful Visitor Experiences
A Workshop for Museum Professionals in Virginia

This half-day workshop will give attendees the tools necessary to create engaging and meaningful visitor experiences. Participants will learn basic interpretive techniques, how to incorporate hands-on activities, where to look for possible funding sources, and marketing strategies. The workshop will also explore ways for new programs to connect to the themes of the upcoming Virginia commemorations, the USA 250 initiative, and the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail.

Featured speakers will include the local tourism directors and representatives from the Virginia Tourism Corporation and the National Park Service.

The workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:30am.

There is no cost for registration. Light refreshments will be provided.
