Places I would like to kiss Richard Armitage: New Zealand 2012 retrospective edition
This was one of the first pictures that we saw of Richard Armitage as the team fell upon New Zealand to begin the press blitz and premiere series back on November 25, 2012. Here’s the original photo with credits. Total swoon at the time — especially over the boots! What I’m referring to tonight is that little red shadow on his cheek — sometimes when I see it I think it is natural coloring, or a bit of a blush. Here I think it’s friction after sleeping on the plan from Los Angeles. Sigh.

This photo is one of my all time favorites. And I never noticed the red spot before. I like the little curl sticking out. He has airplane hair (a variation of bed head), and he still looks unfairly beautiful. Places I would like to kiss him in this picture. Just outside of baggage claim where I will whisk him away to our Wellington love nest.

IIRC this was the first hint at the new wardrobe he was about to unleash on his already adoring public. He stood out as a film star at the New Zealand premiere and our hearts ( and other organs) were fit to burst. Just seeing this photo again gets me all aflutter.

Yes — first glimpse at the influence of Ilaria Urbinati. I was thinking about that yesterday. We’ve gotten so jaded with all the pictures we can see now. At the time this was a serious revelation.

whot? how.. where…. i haven’t seen this before!! thank you so much for linking to the original one to so i could admire this in its entirety! It’s just beeauutiful! He is beautiful in this. I love everything about it from the top of his tossled hair of hair, slightly wind swept — sigh– to the tip of his great boots! I just can’t stop looking up and down and back up again..
Just look at that wonderful dancer walk! Instead of parallel feet we get a confident stride that crosses one foot slightly in front of the other (looks more elegant and emphasises the hips as models say 😉 )
And that upturned collar on that shirt which only emphasises that neck.. puurrrrfection. And a shirt with poppers (and all i can hear now is pop-pop-pop-pop-pop) And that perfect little smile, this photo at his most gorgeous is a keeper 🙂 You go for that kiss and i’m saying a huge thanks for this photo!

I just noticed something I hadn’t before, which is that he has that talisman on the leather strip around his neck. Just barely visible.

I think at that time (2012) due to pics that had been seen in the summer, fans thought it was a Maori tiki — whatever it was was fairly bulky. Not sure it was the same thing as he was wearing this summer in London (St Christopher medal). I’m guessing if it was an NZ thing it wasn’t a gift from family, but no idea.

i saw it when i looked at the full size picture (neck focus ;-)) . Wonder if it is the same thing as this summer… but he must have been fond of both i guess to wear it when travelling or all the time like this summer.

In 2006 he was wearing a gold ingot on a leather thong — if he has sensitive skin it may just be that he prefers leather to a metal chain?
