There is a quote by Harriet Tubman and it goes: “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
One morning, I just woke up with an interesting idea on how to display autism in a way that would awaken the people’s senses and inspire. One thing that cripples the disability community is that we do not speak up enough. This is why I came up with the title Missing Pieces. For us autistic individuals, our social views, our interpretation of normal, and our way of life is different. However, we are human, we have something to say, but more importantly, we ALL have missing pieces.

On December 3rd, TASH - an international leader in disability advocacy is hosting an conference to support inclusivity, awareness, and edudation. I would like the opportunity to share the 'Missing Pieces' model on a national scale and the TASH networks has a creative base of partners that will allow for fruitful conversation and collaboration on this project.
Below you will find examples of submissions for 2013:
