Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace is a bit frustrated after the Rebels were shut out in final three quarters of a 10-7 loss at LSU, saying Monday that he hopes the Rebels will be more aggressive in their play-calling.

Wallace, who completed just 14 of 33 passes for 176 yards and one score in the loss on Saturday, said he and head coach Hugh Freeze have an open dialogue about the offense, but the game plan is "on the coaches -- what they call and things like that," according to the Associated Press.

"Hopefully we can be more aggressive this week," he added, "but I'm going to run the plays that are called. That's all I can do."

Specifically, Wallace said he'd like to see the Rebels throw more on early downs. The Rebels were just 5-of-17 on third-down conversions.

"A lot of times when we were throwing the ball it was third down," he said. "It's easy (for the defense) when you know it's coming - 3rd-and-9, 3rd-and-long."

Freeze has slowed his tempo offense to play to the strength of a defense that leads the nation in allowing only 10.5 points per game. He told the AP he'll re-evaluate as the Rebels prepare for Saturday's game against Auburn, but believes the team had the right strategy against LSU.

"I certainly think the plan that we had gave us a chance to win," Freeze said. "We had two touchdowns called back and had chances to score more points. Either we didn't make the right call or we didn't execute properly at times or LSU made good plays. Should we speed it up more? Maybe. But I still say we had a chance to win in a hostile environment."
