Ramadan Mubarak
“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, so that you may learn self-restraint. Quran 2:183”
“But to fast is better for you, if you only know. Quran 2:184”
“Allah intends for you ease, and does not intend for you hardship. Quran 2:185”
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar, it was during that month that the Quran or Koran - the holy book of Islam - was first revealed to the prophet Muhammad by Allah (God).
“The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.  Quran 2:185”
Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them to practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity, charity (zakat) and complete obedience to Allah.
Dear friends, Ramadan is like a rare flower that blossoms once a year and just as you begin to smell its fragrance, it disappears for another year, so please do not go into Ramadan having hurt anyone without seeking their forgiveness. The last thing you would want on the day of judgment is to find that your entire Ramadan with all of its Quran recitation, fasting, prayers, charity and good deeds went completely to waste because your pride stopped you from saying “I am sorry”. With that being said, kindly find in your heart to forgive and make Duaa (Pray) that Allah grants us guidance and sincerity. Amen.
Ramadan Mubarak!
