Sneak Peek: Hopdoddy Opens on October 27 Next To Union Station

The micro Texas-born chain has a cult-like following in Austin and beyond.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar, the Austin-born casual burger restaurant, will open its doors on Monday, October 27 at 1747 Wynkoop Street. The space, located in a building adjacent to Union Station, features a showcase bakery window and a contemporary and bright interior with burnt-orange walls and green-accented chairs.

Hopdoddy focuses on from-scratch burgers made with all-natural ingredients. The beef is ground fresh daily and is without hormones or antibiotics. Buns are baked throughout the day in-house, Kennebec Fries are handcut, and milkshakes are handspun.

Choose from twelve different burger options that are based on beef, bison, tuna, chicken, lamb, or turkey patties, or there's also a meat-free black bean-corn option. The This location will feature a full bar with a variety of local brews on tap as well as handcrafted cocktails, mixed with pure cane syrups, house-infused liquors and freshly made fruit juices.

What's with the name? Hopdoddy was created to express the perfect union of burgers and beer: handcrafted beer (Hop) + (Doddy), the nickname given to the native cow in Aberdeen, Scotland.
