In mid-April, downtown Fort Worth was the scene of an amazing assemblage of CIRS knowledge.  Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker brought out the big guns as he and and four other certified doctors convened to record presentations aimed to expand patient knowledge and create a video database of information to serve as a resource for certifying providers.  Thus, the first ever CIRS virtual conference was birthed.  

The weekend contained appearances by many of our wonderful Certified Physicians, which we will profile over the next few emails.  Next is Dr. Ackerleyt!

Dr. Mary Ackerley traveled from near the OK Corral to shoot us full of her extensive knowledge of brain anatomy, function and NeuroQuant® (NQ).  She discussed hyperflexible patients, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Type 3 and the large cerebella seen on NQ in them.  She offered several case examples of NQ and corralled some astounding pictures of the brain, microglia and a surreal rendering of brain tracts.
