Canton Adds New Roads To Run Speed Detection Radar

The city after Nov. 20 will start enforcing speeding violators on three roads and one school zone.

The city of Canton recently updated its speed detection device permit with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Canton police said in a press release.

For motorists, that means the city has added new roads to the list of thoroughfares it will patrol for speed enforcement.Β

The following roads have been approved for speed enforcement:

  • Northside Cherokee Boulevard: 40 miles per hour
  • Northside Parkway: 25 miles per hour
  • Reservoir Drive: 35 miles per hour
  • Teasley Middle School zone on Reservoir Drive: 25 miles per hour

Officers will issue warnings on these roadways for the next 30 days and will begin enforcing speeding violations after Nov. 20.
