Ohio Medicaid extends attestation deadline for EHR incentive program
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) has extended the 2014 program year deadline for eligible hospitals and eligible professionals participating in the Medicaid Provider Incentive Program, MPIP.
- Medicaid has extended its attestation timeline to give an additional two months:
- 2014 attestation for eligible hospitals has been extended from Nov. 30, 2014 to Jan. 31, 2015
- 2014 attestation for eligible professionals has been extended from Feb.28, 2015 to April 30, 2015
- There is no indication yet whether CMS will extend the Medicare attestation process.
- The attestation process using the flexible reporting option is now open effective October 15, 2014.
- This is required with all 2014 Medicaid attestations:
Every eligible hospital and eligible professional will be required to upload a vendor letter on vendor letterhead that gives the following information:
- Product(s) name
- Version #
- CMS certification information
- Name of provider
- Date of upgrade
You must have a letter from every vendor for products used for attestation in 2014.
