Have you ever wondered if you’re doing enough? Are you saving as much as you could or are there still some frivolous areas where you are throwing money away? Things that you could cut back on or eliminate that over time would add up?

I have had this thought often. I know there are several places where I could be wiser in what I spend. Tracking your finances can be a powerful to find out where you tend to overspend. The key is to remember that little things add up. Ten, twenty and even five dollars a month over time makes a difference. There are several online apps to track your fiancee. My two favorite are as follows:

Mint. My all-time favorite is Mint. It is an all-in-one resource for budgeting, tracking your spending and really seeing where your money is going. You can connect your bank and credit cards, as well as input all your monthly bills. This keeps everything in one place. I especially like that it notifies me when my bills are due, warns me when I’m getting close to a budget limit and gives me an overall status of my financial accounts.

Wally. If you need an easy and quick way to keep track of your  personal expenses you'll love the Wally app. With Wally you take a picture of your receipts and it does the rest. This app is streamlined and extremely convenient. It works easily best to help you categorize where your money is going.

TIP: Consistency is important when tracking your budget. Mark a day on your calendar to sit down every month and go over your spending. Hopefully you’ll be able to pinpoint an area where you can cut back. By doing this monthly you’ll be able to see the progress.
