In the true spirit of Pie Week, we ask, what's better than pie? The answer (of course) is pie topped with whipped cream! Sure, it might be gilding the lily, but this is pie we're talking about. There's no point in attempting to be reasonable about it.

In fact, there's an easy way to make the whipped cream that tops your pie even more delicious. The secret is simple: Booze! Just a dash of flavored liquor can instantly infuse your whipped cream with pie-friendly flavor. Here's how to do it:

Start by beating 1 cup heavy cream in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form. You can use a stand mixer, a hand mixer, or your arm and a whisk if you feel like working on your triceps.

Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon booze. Gently fold in and taste. Feel free to add more booze if you like, just don't go too crazy or you'll overwhelm the flavors of your pie. Beat until soft peaks return. Sounds easy, right? Ready to try it?
