Thanks for connecting! - Connected Educator Month 2014

Thanks for connecting! Now what?

Plan your next steps as Connected Educator Month NZ-Aotearoa 2014 wraps up

A connected celebration!

The last week of Connected Educator Month continued at full steam, right to the end. LEARNZ headed off to Antarctica for the mother of all virtual field trips, #edchatnz went Trans-Tasman with #aussieED, an e-book was launched - #edbooknz - and we celebrated the impact of the month across multiple social networks on the final day.

There are still events rolling into November, such as:

Ewan McIntosh’s How to come up with great ideas Book Group is still open, with a final session on 18 November, 8pm.

LEARNZ virtual field trips for students go to Memorial Park, Antarctica, and Waitomo.

...and the resources on the Connected Educator Month website remain available.

Ka pai... fa'afetai lava... thank you!

Connected Educator Month NZ wouldn’t have happened without the support of individuals and organisations across New Zealand and beyond.

  • The partners: Firstly, huge thanks go to Cyclone, N4L, Microsoft and Toshiba for their support of the month’s events. Their willingness to get involved in this new venture gave us real confidence that it could fly.
  • The pledgers: We also want to recognise the 68 organisations and groups who pledged events and made the calendar sing with a rich array of professional learning events.
  • The participants: Many thanks to all of you who signed up for, attended, presented and participated in the month. From the first fliers on Twitter to the reflective bloggers, your willingness to be part of a national conversation about connected learning gave the event wings!
  • The pioneers: Finally, thanks to our global partners on whose shoulders we stood to launch this event. CEM in the United States: Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, Darren Cambridge, Marshal Conley and Tom de Boor. CEM in Victoria, Australia: Lynn Davie, Sandy Phillips and the Department of Education.

Kei ngā mana, kei ngā reo, kei ngā tapu, tēnā koutou katoa!

Kua tau rā tā tātou kaupapa ki tōna tauranga, arā, Whatunga Tangata, Whatunga Mātanga, heoi anō rā, "ka tō he rā, ka ara anō he rā"!

He tini, he huhua ngā kōrero, ngā whakaaro, ngā akoranga hei whaiwhai mā tātou katoa!

To the connected ones...
