Grizzlies defeat Pacers in Indiana, 97-89

The Grizzlies deserve a treat after defeating the Indiana Pacers, 97-89, on Halloween night in Indiana. Coach Joeger takes his team’s record to 2-0 to start the season.

Charging back from a 7 point deficit at halftime, the Grizzlies went on a 28-6 run in the 3rd quarter lead by Mike Conley (17 points) & Tony Allen (5 Steals).

Zach Randolph was relentless in the paint scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds, while his counterpart, Marc Gasol dropped 20 points (9-15) and grabbed 6 boards. Randolph, Gasol & Conley combined for 59 points, while the bench added 21 in the Grizzlies victory.

Courtney Lee scored 12 points (4-5) in only 16 min before suffering a mild concussion from a knee to the head.

The Grizzlies shot 46% (35-77) from the field on the night, almost matching the Pacers (47%, 34-73). Both teams shot well from the 3 point line (39%-Grizzlies, 40%-Pacers).
