CLEVELAND, Ohio – The final poll begins today to decide which local football team wears the best helmet in Northeast Ohio. We're down to the 10 finalists in the final poll. The contest started three weeks ago with helmets of all 136 squads.
Over 12,000 votes have been cast to determine the following 10 finalist helmets: Benedictine, Brecksville, Gilmour, Hudson, Normandy, St. Edward, St. Ignatius, Streetsboro, Villa Angela-St. Joseph and Walsh Jesuit.

Vote for the helmet you like best in the poll below. The poll is open until Wednesday at noon. The helmet with the most votes is the winner. Voting is allowed once per hour.

Many of the pictures in the gallery were taken during Media Day events at the Northeast Ohio Media Group in July. The others are from Plain Dealer game pictures as well as some images fans and photographers sent in and the OhioHelmetProject.com website.
