Festivals, Fun and Fall!

Welcome to my October newsletter…some of you have just signed up during my end of summer and fall shows, and some of you got added as we gathered your emails from our communication with you.  I generally send out emails about once a month or every couple months, so I promise I won’t fill up your inbox!

In the last newsletter, I updated you on what my upcoming events were, and now I’m excited to tell you how it went!!

We started off in Castle Rock, CO, for the Celebration Life Crusade. We were re-united with our awesome friends, Bread of Stone/BNY production company – it had been exactly a year since we’d seen them last so it was a happy reunion for us.  The "new guys" on their team quickly became my new buddies, and I treasure their friendships.  I got to meet some neat pastors and other people who spoke and shared their heart in ministry, as well as watch other bands/artists perform.  It was a great start to my mini-festival tour.

With Lori Harris, a new artist friend!

 A bunch of my family came to see me!

After that, we hopped on the bus with Bread of Stone and drove all the way to Meadville, PA, for the Ignite festival.  The Hough family puts on the festival in their beautiful back yard, and it is about the most beautiful and relaxing place I have ever been.  Thank you to them for letting me come share my music at their fantastic festival.  I loved meeting new people and fellow artists, making new friendships, and just getting to spend some time in that beautiful state!  Even the rain all day on Saturday couldn't dampen everyone's spirits!  Everything about that festival was special and I hope to go back next year.

Our next stop was the Nehemiah Fest at Smith's Fork Park in MO, where Mr. David Lin puts on another great gathering of artists and fans.  We got to see a lot of people we saw at Celebration Life as well as make some new friends.  I've learned that will be my favorite part of festivals...getting to spend time with my artist friends and fans on the weekends. This festival was a bit chillier...see how cold we are...

...but still we had SO much fun!  We love the lovely Miss Brittney, our Bread of Stone sister in Christ!

Not only did I get to sing at the Coffee House stage at Nehemiah Fest – I’m kind of a coffee fanatic if you don't know that already – but I also got to borrow Bread of Stone’s amazing drummer, Jason Ferris…he backed me up on the cajon during my set!!  It was such a fun time…one for my memory books, and I hope to do it again many times over.  Thank you, Jason, and thank you, Nehemiah Fest, for having me in Missouri. =)

Throughout the course of these festivals, I was so in awe of God’s hand at work in my life, and I am very humbled to be walking this path.  There's almost no words for how my life was impacted by this trip and by the people with whom I spent time, but this chorus says it well:

♫ He leadeth me, He leadeth me,
By His own hand He leadeth me;
His faithful follower I would be,
For by His hand He leadeth me.

After that, we parted ways with Bread of Stone until next time - if you haven’t already, go give them a like on FB here and check them out on iTunes...be on the lookout for some amazing new music from them!  We then headed to Souix Falls, SD, to see some lifelong friends of ours, had a really relaxing and fun week with them, and got to end that week by driving to Spearfish, SD, to finally meet back up with my dad & sister and watch my brother’s football game!  He got to come with us to Calvary Chapel in Rapid City that Sunday and watch me sing and share my ministry with them.  Thank you for having me, Calvary Chapel Rapid City!

But that's not all!  We left my brother at Black Hills State and drove back home for a couple days, but were back on the road in just a few days – our favorite place to be.  We headed to Camp Rock in Redington, NE, for ministry at a women’s retreat, and then to New Life in Gillette, WY – one of my favorite places to go back to. The next weekend was a visit to another one of my favorite churches – First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff, NE – to lead worship for their Fireman’s Appreciation Sunday.

This last weekend the Word Christian Fellowship in Casper, WY invited me to be a part of their televised service.  We pray that other churches in Wyoming will learn of my ministry through their show.  If you have a church or event in our state or anywhere in the United States, I would be happy to come share my ministry.  As of now my schedule is completely open for the rest of fall and winter, and we would LOVE to come your way!

Just to update you quick on the progress of my next album, we have gotten all of the songs back from being mixed and we just have to listen through and request any little changes we find, then the songs get mastered and CDs get pressed.  Here is a sneak peek of the album graphics – I can’t wait for y’all to see the whole thing.  We are blessed beyond measure by the amazing talent that came together on this album.

That's all for now - praying you all are having a blessed fall, and next time you hear from me...Lord willing...will be to announce the release of my album!  God bless you and keep you, and make His face shine upon you and give you peace!
