Ellie wins Care Home Worker of the Year 2021!
National Care Group's Ellie Baldwin scoops Care Home Worker of the Year award 2021 We're delighted to announce that Ellie Baldwin, team leader at 8 Acres in Norfolk, won Care Home Worker of the Year at the Great British Care Award's East of England regional final last night.


The awards are a celebration of excellence across the care sector delivered via a series of regional awards ceremonies. Their purpose is to pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.


Also finalists at the East of England's awards ceremony, of whom we're equally proud for getting so far, were our following colleagues and services:

  • The Anchorage, Care Team of the Year
  • Tara Currie, 8 Acres, Care Home Registered Manager of the Year
  • Marie Roberts, Endurance Care, Frontline Worker of the Year


    In total National Care Group had 25 colleagues and teams announced as finalists across the Great British Care Awards nationally, a huge achievement and proud recognition of their hard work and dedication to unlocking the potential of the people we support.


    Nominated by her area operations manager, supported by her registered manager and all her National Care Group colleagues, Ellie was commended for having such infectious motivation in caring for the people she supports and being a great role model to her fellow team members.

    Ellie Baldwin, team leader at our 8 Acres home, part of National Care Group, should be shortlisted for Care Home Worker of the Year for striving to deliver the best possible outcomes for all the people she supports with outstanding passion, benevolence and infectious motivation for what she does.


    In recognition of her hard work, Ellie has recently been promoted to the role of a team leader and has seamlessly fitted into the role with the support of the team who hold her in the upmost regard. Ellie is admired by the team for being versatile and adaptable, tackling every situation and issue she faces.


    She is always in a positive mood which also rubs off on and motivates her team. Not only is Ellie a great problem solver but she’s eager to learn more, constantly improving her skillset with in-house training opportunities which she passes on to the team, supporting them to constantly improve and enhance their careers too.


    She has built strong relationships with all the people we support, taking the time to get to know them individually and making them feel at ease to trust her.


    There’s no better role model at National Care Group than Ellie. Being shortlisted for this award would be testament to her achievements and capabilities as an exceptional care worker.
