Beating Alabama and Texas A&M earned Ole Miss and Mississippi State some respect from the pollsters, as the Rebels and Bulldogs tied for third in the Associated Press poll this week.
But Saturday's big victories apparently didn't win them any points in Las Vegas.
Ole Miss and Mississippi State are both underdogs this week, according to early lines set by Danny Sheridan and at vegasinsider.com.
Both Sheridan and the VI Consensus line on vegasinsider.com have the Rebels a 2 1/2-point underdog on the road at Texas A&M this week. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are a 2 1/2-point favorite at home against No. 2 Auburn, according to Sheridan, while vegasinsider.com sets Auburn as a 3-point favorite.
Here are Sheridan's other early lines this week:
Alabama (-9 1/2) at Arkansas
LSU (-1 1/2) at Florida
Georgia (-3) at Missouri
Kentucky (-20 1/2) vs. Louisiana-Monroe
Tennessee and Vanderbilt are playing FCS opponents this week -- Chattanooga and Charleston Southern, respectively -- and therefore there are no lines for those games.
