The Minnesota Twins finally snapped their three-game losing streak with an emphatic 7-1 victory over the New York Yankees on Sunday. Tyler Duffey pitched two-hit ball for eight innings for the Twins who backed him up with a whopping six home runs. The Twins will look to keep the momentum going when they take on the Chicago White Sox in the opening game of their three-game set tonight.

Starting for Minnesota in the series opener is Kyle Gibson (0-5, 6.05 ERA). The right-hander is still seeking his first victory of the season following a no-decision Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Gibson surrendered five runs (four earned) in six innings in his third start back from a right shoulder strain. The White Sox, on the other hand, will counter with Jose Quintana (5-7, 3.04 ERA). He has six defeats and two no-decisions over his last eight starts, having not won since May 8.

The White Sox are 4-1 in their last five home games against the Twins.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers (8:10 PM ET)

Line: Los Angeles Dodgers (-140) at Milwaukee Brewers (+130); total: 9.0  view all MLB lines

Julio Urias delivers a pitch

The Milwaukee Brewers had their three-game winning streak snapped on Sunday with a gut-wrenching 3-2 loss to the Washington Nationals. Milwaukee had no answer for Tanner Roark who held the Brewers without a run over seven innings. They will look to return to the win column when they face the LA Dodgers in the opening game of their three-game set tonight.

Pitching for the Brewers this evening is Chase Anderson (4-7, 5.13 ERA). He struggled mightily in his last outing, allowing seven runs on seven hits in just 2.1 innings of action in Milwaukee’s 10-6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers, on the other hand, will have teen phenom Julio Urias (0-2, 4.33 ERA) as their starting pitcher tonight. LA is 3-1 in Urias’ last four starts.

The Dodgers are 3-2 in their last five away games against the Brewers.

Writer’s Prediction

Los Angeles (-140) wins, 5-3.
