Seattle-based NK Woodworking & Design specializes in exquisitely designed custom staircases, but the firm recently started producing wooden bathtubs on the same par.

Fabricated from five species of wood—maple, sepele, figured maple, black walnut, and white oak—the products are the creation of Nathie Katzoff, a Wood Industry 40 Under 40 winner.

Katzoff’s water-tight bathtubs are custom built in any size and style – the same way he builds his staircases. Katzoff and NK Woodworking swept the 2015 Best Stair Design Awards, winning all but two of the categories he entered.

Tubs can incorporate unique patterns and inlays, specialty features such as air systems, and almost any shape. Each is finished with a specialized clear composite for durability and longevity.

Primarily made of wood, the company also offers tubs in glass, metal, or stone inlay if a customer wishes.
