CHICAGO — Meet some turtles, take a walk through a butterfly haven, or learn about Illinois' marshes at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum this weekend — for free.

The museum will be free every Sunday in October, according to an announcement on its Facebook page.

The discount is offered as part of the celebration of the museum's 15th anniversary. It opened to the public in October 1999.

The museum normally costs $9 for adults, $7 for students and seniors over 60, $6 for children ages three to 12, and is free for kids under three. It is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays.
