When I was a young boy, I used to dream a lot about wild animals in the jungle. And very often, in these dreams, they used to chase me. I would run and run and get so tired and when I felt that I couldn’t run anymore and the tiger was very close to me, right in the dream I would think to myself, What nonsense, I’m only dreaming! Probably, right after that, I would just continue dreaming. Some of you may also have experienced something like this when you are aware you are dreaming within a dream. MORE

Emotionally, socially, economically and spiritually we are experiencing big waves. How can we surf? Here are several points to consider: While the pandemic has caused untold amounts of suffering and hardship, there are important lessons that point to a bright side in this storm as well. One of these lessons is how Mother Nature is utilizing this time to prune and “reboot.” MORE

Once an old monk sat in deep meditation in Japan, when, suddenly, his meditation was interrupted by the harsh and demanding voice of a samurai warrior. “Old man! Teach me about heaven and hell!” At first, there was no perceptible response from the monk. The first thoughts of proposing some type of ministry for the Integral Yoga organization occurred in the winter of 1980. My mother had been a member of the Third Order of St. Francis when she was young. This order was established by St. Francis in response to a request by the Pope.... I believed that there were many householders in our sangha that shared the same zeal as their sannyas (monastic) brothers and sisters, but had no way of formalizing their devotion and dedication. In June, Satchidananda Farm celebrated the Earth and all the blessings of the summer solstice. This wonderful video highlights the celebration that included a puja, blessing of the farm beds, and soulful music. Swami Satchidananda, who inspired the farm and the Native Americans who first farmed on this land were honored during the festivities. The Farm has been bountifully providing for the Ashram and Yogaville community during the pandemic. We're so grateful!
