Students Have Invented A Device That Charges Your Phone Through Exercise

Going for a 30 minute jog could charge your phone for up to three hours. Why has no one invented this before?

Ampy is a pocket-sized device which converts your movements into energy that can charge your phone.

Chief product officer Alex Smith says that you don't need to be an athlete, any movement will charge it, even whatever this lady is doing.

You can even attach one to your dog!

Ampy was invented by these three engineering students at Northwestern University.

You don't have to use the charge straight away, Ampy can store up to a week's worth of movements, ready to charge your phone whenever you need it.

All of this means maybe in the future the dreaded 1% battery won't be so bad, you could just give your phone shake and send that text.
