Denver-based parking operator Alpha Park has merged with fast-growing LAZ Parking.

The merger adds 49 parking garages and surface lots to LAZ’s stable, making it one of Denver’s largest parking operators with 80 locations and more than 125 employees.

The deal closed Wednesday, according to a statement by LAZ. The LAZ brand will be added to lots across the city in the next month.

Alpha Park was started in 2009 by Dan Bragassa, who had decades of experience in Denver. Bragassa will remain with the company and lead the Denver market, serving as regional vice president of Denver and working with Antonio DiPaolo, senior vice president for LAZ;s midwest region.

“I admire the way Dan runs his company. Alpha Park offers the same level of quality, professionalism and customer service as LAZ, ensuring a smooth transition as we expand in the Denver market,” said Alan Lazowski, founder and CEO of LAZ Parking, in the statement.

“A company with a family-oriented approach to business like LAZ will undoubtedly meet the demand for parking service in Denver with the same dedication to our customers and our employees that Alpha Park is known for. I am confident that the company I started eight years ago is in good hands,” Bragassa said in the statement.
